Official photographer for the Kent County Show!
I was recently hired to be an official photographer for the Kent County Show’s 3-day event.
It was an enjoyable event in which I have taken nearly 1900 photos, soon to be purged to the best 300-400.
I shot with two cameras and a variety of focal lengths, the Tamron 70-200mm F2.8 being my most frequently used on my Nikon Z6. However, I did also use my Sigma 150-600mm for some of the close-up horse shots in the Astor Ring.
Outdoor shots were largely taken using my Sigma 24mm F1.4 on my full-frame Panasonic Lumix S5.
My favourite portrait lens, the Nikkor 85mm F1.4, also got some action.
The weather was a mixed bag. Many moments where I had to avoid the rain by taking some additional community shots in the interior events such as the young farmers training tent and the antiques fair.
A largely enjoyable event in which I hope to be rehired for again next year.
A handful of my favourite photos to be added to my events portfolio soon. Delivery to my client is the priority now though! :)
Sometimes choosing a camera lens for these events is as complicated as a diva choosing a dress for a night out! What to wear vibes.
Anyhow, until next time, all the best! :)
